Adventures in Rock brings you to the magical city of Montreux--the Pearl of the Swiss Riviera and home of the world famous Montreux Jazz Festival. For many, Montreux is more than a festival--it's a ritual, a yearly reunion with favorite musicians in the glorious Alps. There are few other places where you can hear legendary jazz figures jam with friends in a relaxed party atmosphere.

Along with the always impressive line up of jazz musicians, the festival welcomes all musical genres--rock and roll, world music, Cuban salseros and African tribal chanters, to name just a few. World travelers flock to Montreux to enjoy sophisticated rhythms and ultra-cosmopolitan good times. Montreux Palace is a superior first class hotel centrally located in the town of Montreux, directly on the lakeside promenade and only 2 minutes walking distance to the Convention Centre 300 meters from Congress Centre and Stravinsky Hall. The train station is about a 3-minute walk from the hotel. All rooms in the hotel enjoy a panoramic view of either Lake Geneva or the French Alps.

ESCORTED - An half day visit to the famous 12th century caste, including trolley bus to the Castle, a private guided tour, snacks in the castle's courtyard and return to Montreux by one of Lake Geneva's famous turn of the century paddlewheel lake steamers.

** "La Belle Epoque" Champagne Train
ESCORTED - An unforgettable tour of the Alps aboard our private 1920's Belle Epoque train outfitted with velvet seats and wooden marquetry. Champagne is served as you travel up through Switzerland's beautiful "Golden Pass" to the resort town of Gstaad where you have four hours to shop, dine and explore.
